We are excited to announce that this year, our charity partner is the Mini Farm Project at Loganlea SHS! There are now more than 21% of households, or 1 in 5, experiencing severe food insecurity. This means Aussies are skipping meals or going whole days without eating. Profits from the 2023 Cane event will go towards supporting the Mini Farm Project to provide fresh produce to charities that support the Logan region.
Registrations are now open for community organisations, schools and businesses to participate in the parade entries, register
here, Also, if you are interested in coming on board to lend a helping hand, please register you interest with the Rotary Club of Beenleigh.
In 2021, the Beenleigh Cane Parade & Gala Ball was touted as giving our community a great big hug, and in the midst of the COVID pandemic, the community gathering saw young and old come out in droves to experience the spectacle (or reexperience the memories of yesteryear) of passing floats, bands, community groups and dancers. We can’t wait to see what creativity and passion the community holds for their floats and displays in 2023.
You’ll see banners and flyers appearing around town – but save the dates for years to come, Beenleigh Cane Parade on the second Saturday in May and Beenleigh Cane Gala Ball on the third Saturday in May. Bring your family, friends, neighbours, and colleagues and help us continue to grow this iconic community festival back to its former glory as we celebrate the heritage of Beenleigh, our current community, and our future.
