Combined Meeting with LOgan and loganholme for us to learn about this project. similar schemes are already being run by Caboolture and Brisbane Mid City where approximately 50kg of food are supplied to Meals on Wheels and other food providers to those in need.  Loganlea State High School is supporting the program where the gardens can be planted.  I strongly recommend attendance at Diggers - yes it is a Tuesday evening

Our nominees are of all ages, from all walks of life and exemplify achievement in volunteering services to the community. Being nominated for the Volunteer Awards is a great honour, and we hope you feel proud of the impact you are having within your community.

The Awards Committee will be meeting to assess all award nominations and the announcement of the winners will take place on Saturday 28 May which includes a special thank you brunch.

Today we will be putting the furniture together for our Palliative Care Garden of Peace. We will discuss requirements at our meeting on Wednesday.

The 2022-23 Board are recommended to attend but all members are welcome - more details to follow

Lina, Trish & Rouse will speak to us about eTutor program they have established - eTutor program is an online tutoring network that aims to provide financially disadvantaged students from K-9 with free online tutoring sessions in Reading, English, Math and Science.

The ladies will join us via ZOOM on this day from 6.30pm for thier presentation.

Karen is the author of Sugar Sweet Stories and this is an oportunity for her to speak to us about the project.

Megan is the illustrator and will discuss with us her drawimngs and how we can promote them at the Gala Ball.

We have been asked to collect the gte takings on their behalf for the day - it very well may include Car Parking as well.  this will be a rostered event so all memebrs are requested to make them selves available.  They ask us every year as we have bought the event a profit each year we have manned the gates.

Tony is the Principal at The Property Hub and has been a Rotaract President, attended RYLA and participated in a Group Study Exchange to Brazil.

Tony will address us on the above plus the Real Estate Market in Beenleigh and surrounding District

Bert van Manen's office has asked us to provide the BBQ for his Forde Seniors Expo at Canterbury College on the 30th September, if we can get enough volunteers we will see if we can have a stall with Loganholme.

Times to be confirmed - we have been asked by Megan from Beenleigh Senior Citzens Club to help with a general clean up of the run down centre - Quota is provising morning tea and Rotary has been asked to provide a sausage sizzle for lunch. Logan City Council is planning to clean and paint the external of the centre, Cass from Sewing Lair is looking at new seating covers for the inside with other groups assisting with the clean up to make it fire safe and more user friendly as it is an under utilised centre.

Jane is a domestic violence trauma specialist and will be speaking to us about how it effects us in our society etc.

Jon Raven is Chair of the Logan City Council Planning, Economic Development and the Environment Committee and will be presenting to us on what is planned for this great city of ours - Logan plus much more.  It will be a meeting not to be missed

Logan City Council has asked us to cater for the next Environmental Tree Planting exercise, but this time at Logan River Parklands - there might be a few more attendees at this one so we will need at least 5-6 members to volunteer.

We have been asked by Wesley Mission if we will participate in this fun day between 11.00am and 1.00pm. BBQ needs to be in place by 9.00am as all vehicles ned to off the grounds by 9.00am

Yes it is Gala Ball Event but we are confident we can have 4 memebrs who are not involved with thn setting up to attend this function.
