Due to Club Beenleigh being unavailble for us we have decided to visit River Road Tavern in Beenleigh - social and a bit of Cane Parade

We will be visisited by a few members from the Rotary Club if Wynnum & Manly tonight as part of their Club Visits/social events. Not sure where it will be hled but Tony will advise

Our signature findraising event for the year - Venue is yet to be decided but we seek all memebrs input to supporting this event - bringing thr people of Beenleigh and surrounding areas together.

We have been invited to organise the traffic parking for this event - parking opens from 11.30am which means we will required earlier. From the previous parking event in the same area we would need some 6-8 volunteers.

As Mental Health and DV play a large part in our society today we have organised a walk to Lift the Lid on Mental Awareness and it will be combined with DV awareness as they both affect us all in one way or another.  A walk is being prepared along with numerous organisations.  (More to follow.)

Frida Juul - Rotary Beenleigh hosted Exchange Student presentation.

Will also expect to have students from Junior Quota - unfortunately they are on camp until 26th June

Celebrate the year that was with P Prav and listen to the year that will be under incoming P Tony

Tonight we will run through and set Goals for 2056-2026 and Tony will enlarge on his Presidentail Goals for the year as we enter them.

Our Bi-Annual Combined Services Club Meeting being conducted by Soroptimists International Beenleigh

The Leadership Team will be meeting at Club Beenleigh for dinner and our meeting - meeting is planned to commence by 6.00pm allowing to order dinner. Members are welcome to attend but ned to advise Secretary prior.

Meeting with the PNGFQI Committee (most of them are new) to discuss our involvement in the Gate Manning for the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Bill Norris Oval on the 13th September

Sponsoring this event and we can have Marques promoting Rotary at the event - more to follow as well as a time. No Leader yet

SBLT ANC Zac Somerfield from TS Walrus Navy Cadets will be presentint to us on the TS Walrus - a nit of its history and how it is operationg in the local area. Zac will is also visiting to speak about on how the cadets can become involve with Rotary Youth Programs and how we can assist them - youth joining in with programs etc.

A social evening with family and friends - yes invite the family and friends to have a night out. Rememebr it is a BYO Wine only - great way to have a chat and some fun

We have been asked to cook the BBQ again for the Little Athletics Fun & Sign on Day at Oliver Sports Complex - should involve 4-5 members

Tonight we will be informed on other aspects of the Rotary Foundation - our Foundation - our Charity of Choice Sue will provide us with more on what TRF is all about.

Is it time to consider why you are a memebr of the Rotary Club of Beenleigh?  We will be looking at how we can attract you to attend meetings either in person or Zoom; discussing upcoming projects and volunteers required; Membership Action Plan Planned survey; how do we attract more active members (QPS; QAS; Medical and the list goes on)

We have been advised that the next Rodeo is booked in for this date and we are being asked to reserve it ti help again.

Another week of Planningn discussions and some Strategic Planning ideas so the Leadership Team has something to work to - where do you want to see our in 2 year, 5 years, 10 years for example.

Opportunity to volunteer and help promote Rotary as we raise funds to help in the local community.  If you can spare a few hours let us know. 

With the PNGFQI Event on this weekend this will be our final chance as a gathering to discuss our planning and allolcate tasks etc.  It is going to be a busy day as it is thier 50th Anniversary.

This year’s Eagleby Little Big Day Out will be held Friday 12 September at Eagleby Sate School

The theme is Our Stories, Our Eagleby – a cultural connection and learning experience.

Would Rotary be available to cook up the barbie – part of the Aussie contribution to the event 

Celebration of PNG Independence from QLD - Members and volunteers man the gates - will be different this year as tickets are being presold - QR Scanner maybe required - on both gates. More details to follow after meetings with PNGFQI Committee.

Rob is the District Peace pole coordinator and will be speaking to us on how it all works and the advantage of installing Peace Poles in Schools and celebfating with them on World Peace Day each year.

The Club has been rosterd on to assist at RAWCS/RARE working bee to load containers, assist with sorting etc as we load more containers for our pacific Neighbours. Please consider volunteering a couple of hours so you have a better understanding of the working s or RARE (Rotary Australia Repurposing Equipment)
